Our turtles all have different personalities. Subtle differences, but they're there. This is Baby, bought on a day where our sense of imagination as far as names goes was exhausted. She is by far the most human friendly of our turts. This wasn't always so. She was the most timid. Until she got an eye infection which prevented her from being able to open her eyes.

Three to four times a day I would rub her eyes with cotton buds soaked in an anti biotic eye drop liquid. It took about 10 days before she was fine, but by the end, instead of hiding her head in her turtle neck and fighting the administration of the medicine, she would keep her face out, welcoming the relief. And she's been friendly ever since. Look how she's looking straight at me, with a slight sense of interest/bewilderment on her face. But no fear. Dear little thing.
